Commonplace™ builds innovative precision manufactured homes that consider all the important logistics of home planning and construction, including spacing and interior design. By designing with essential living in mind, Commonplace has redefined the way homes are built and what modern living should look like. They focus on innovation, sustainability, and style – building safer and stronger homes in just a matter of months.
To do justice to both the innovation and values that characterize their work, Commonplace needed a new brand. The new brand would need to capture the unique features of their homes and demonstrate the purpose of Commonplace—redefining the way homes are built to facilitate the most fulfilling life. Lastly, the brand would need to be light and fresh, reflecting their focus on aesthetics and interior design.
Matter developed a brand identity, website and collateral materials that take Commonplace customers on a journey to discover their perfect, essential home. The design was built, first and foremost, on the concept of connection—a home as a “common place” where people and ideas are brought together in a shared space. The brand was inspired by natural materials and essential design elements from the interior visual ethos that make the brand feel inviting. We built a custom website and created brand roll-out materials such as business cards and swag items for their customers.
Commonplace’s new brand does the same thing as their innovative homes—it allows the ordinary to become extraordinary. Now able to properly communicate their value to clients and stakeholders, the new brand has facilitated increased interest on all sides—building their digital community, increasing engagement, and granting more people the opportunity to discover less, but better—in their own essential home.
